Avnet, Inc. and Infineon Technologies have announced a worldwide distribution agreement. The agreement, worth $1 Billion over the next three years, gives Avnet access to market Infineon's entire product portfolio.

The two companies will design a joint e-business plan to complement the supply chain process. They also hope this venture will increase profitability through reduced costs and the linking of their corporate brands together in each region.

Jean-Baptiste Loire, Vice President, Mass Market & Partners at Infineon Technologies in Munich, Germany said, "Avnet is one of the clear leaders in providing global world-class supply-chain management and engineering design services for the electronics market.
